Meshroom D Compatibility Guide: Using Micro-ATX Motherboard, RTX 5090 GPU, and AIO Cooler

Modified on Fri, Oct 24 at 6:47 PM

Question

Can Meshroom D support an NVIDIA RTX 5090, a Micro-ATX motherboard, and an AIO liquid cooler?
Yes, but with important setup considerations. This configuration requires proper use of the Meshroom Extender Bracket and attention to spatial layout and clearance between key components.

Micro-ATX Motherboard Support

  • Meshroom D natively supports Mini-ITX motherboards only.
  • To install a Micro-ATX (mATX) motherboard, you must use the Extender/Expansion Bracket.
  • Ensure the PCIe slot on the motherboard aligns with the GPU mounting area.
  • Cable management will be tighter than in Mini-ITX configurations, especially near the front fan and PSU area.

GPU Compatibility

  • The  RTX 5090 is supported, depending on motherboard and AIO clearance.
  • Maximum recommended GPU dimensions for this layout:
    • Length: ≤ 325 mm
    • Height: ≤ 136 mm

AIO Liquid Cooler Compatibility

  • Maximum supported radiator size: 280 mm
  • Radiator clearance is also impacted by PSU depth and GPU dimensions.

Power Supply (PSU) Compatibility

  • Recommended PSU type: SFX or SFX-L
    • Maximum recommended length: ≤ 130 mm
  • 150 mm long PSUs may obstruct the AIO radiator
  • If you intend to use an ATX PSU, we recommend switching to air cooling to improve overall clearance and thermal efficiency

Build Considerations:

Ensure the motherboard’s PCIe slot alignment does not conflict with the GPU’s mounting position.

Cable management space may be limited;
